There is No "Right" Way to Do Self-care

Treating yourself to a tasty meal can be self-care!

Blocking off time in your day to take care of yourself? Yes, please! But, to be honest, sometimes bubble baths and face masks don't cut it for me. Too often I blow off me-time all together because I feel like it can only look one way... but self-care is whatever helps you hit the reset button.

Here are some "different" #selfcare ideas I turn to when I need a pause from my hectic life:

  1. Treat myself to a delicious meal

  2. Cry in the shower

  3. Scroll through my camera roll

  4. Watch my favorite TV show or movie

  5. Lay on the floor

  6. Buy myself a small gift

  7. Grocery Shop

  8. Wash my sheets

  9. Drink a warm drink

  10. Listen to Christmas music

  11. Check a small item off my to-do list

  12. Clean my makeup brushes

  13. Watch standup comedy

  14. Text a family member or friend and to just say hi or thank them

  15. Indulge in a tasty dessert or drink

While some of these activities might not be #selfcare insta-worthy, they really do help me pause and focus on me. How do you practice self-care? Share below!
